Read the complete OpenMarket agreementYes. Teachers Pay Teachers is an automatically approved marketplace under the OpenMarket agreement. The license covers eligible original educational resources delivered as flattened, non-editable PDFs.
OpenMarket also identifies Etsy and Amazon as automatically approved marketplaces. Your product and each listing must still follow the agreement. Any other marketplace requires prior written approval from Smarty Symbols.
Not under OpenMarket alone. Direct sales from your own designated self-hosted website require Entrepreneurial Excellence or another written licensing arrangement. If you sell through both TPT and your website, ask us which combination applies.

No. Apps, games, quizzes, Boom Cards, interactive activities, and other software-based products require a different written licensing path.
Discuss an interactive project →One authorized PDF may contain up to 150 distinct Smarty Symbols assets. Repeating the same asset within that single PDF counts as one distinct asset.
Each authorized resource must include the required written credit—“This [product/resource] was created using Smarty Symbols. All rights reserved worldwide.”—and one complete, visible, unmodified official “Created with Smarty Symbols” badge.
Get the approved badge and wording →Not by default. OpenMarket is issued to one named subscriber. Login credentials, downloaded assets, and working source files may not be shared with employees, contractors, collaborators, or clients without prior written approval.
Access continues through the end of the paid term. A product that was fully completed, properly attributed, and first published on an approved marketplace before the term ended may qualify for a limited three-year sell-off period. You may not revise, expand, translate, rebrand, or move it during that period.
No. Smarty Symbols assets may not be used as or within a logo, trademark, service mark, business identity, product identity, or domain name. Use them inside eligible educational resources—not as your brand identifier.
